Senior Category Manager

Procurement Heads are excited to be working with a major European snack company who are looking for a Category Manager to manage CAPEX and MRO categories across UK sites.  You'll lead supplier negotiations, support engineering teams, develop category strategies, and ensure cost-effective procurement across multiple countries. Location - Slough/Nottingham/Leicestershire/Middlesbrough/South Yorkshire/Herefordshire/Leicestershire/Wakefield/Tanfield/East Staffordshire - Hybrid 3 days a week Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement CAPEX & MRO procurement strategies Manage supplier relationships and negotiate high-value contracts Support project execution (e.g., installations, FAT/SAT phases) Collaborate with EU procurement and Engineering teams Analyse complex data for decision-making and savings tracking Ensure compliance, sustainability, and supply security Requirements: Degree in Engineering or related field (CIPS preferred) 4+ years in procurement, ideally within engineering Experience in contract management, CAPEX projects, and stakeholder engagement Strong Excel/Word skills; valid driving license Benefits: Base Salary £55,000 - £65,000 £6000 car allowance Bonus Private healthcare, sick pay, EV scheme Flexible benefits platform, holiday buy scheme
